What this site does not collect

The site has no forms, accounts or sign-in. It does not set cookies or use browser storage. Fonts and images load from this site itself.

Email

Contact links open your own email app, addressed to bob@wadehealthlaw.com. Your message does not pass through this website. Please do not send confidential information until an engagement is confirmed in writing.

Hosting

Vercel hosts the site. Like any website host, Vercel receives each request, including your IP address and the information your browser sends with it. Vercel's firewall uses IP addresses to limit analytics requests to 60 per minute from one address.

Page and performance measurement

On wadehealthlaw.com, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and loading performance, including page URLs, referral sources, resource timing, and Core Web Vitals. It does not use cookies or browser storage. Cloudflare states that it discards source IP addresses at its edge and does not log query strings.

Podcast content measurement

When analytics is enabled, the site uses PostHog to count a small set of anonymous interactions with the podcast library, episode pages, and companion articles: a library view, the use of search or a topic filter, an episode selection or view, whether 50 or 90 percent of a companion article reached the viewport, and whether a visitor opened Buzzsprout or an external article reference. Search is represented only by a yes-or-no value and a broad length range; the words entered are never sent to analytics.

We do not send PostHog names, email addresses, account identities, raw searches, article or page text, episode titles, full URLs, query strings, referrers, visitor IP addresses, or precise location. We do not use analytics cookies, browser storage, persistent identifiers, device fingerprinting, PostHog automatic page tracking, autocapture, session replay, heatmaps, surveys, feature flags, or console recording.

Your browser sends these counts to this site, and our server forwards them to PostHog, so PostHog does not receive requests from your browser. Related counts in one open tab share a random identifier held in temporary browser memory. It disappears when the page is reloaded or the tab closes. PostHog is instructed not to create a person profile or derive location from these events.

Podcast audio and other sites

Episode audio streams from Buzzsprout. The player does not contact Buzzsprout until you press Play; Buzzsprout then receives the request for the audio, including your IP address. Buzzsprout, podcast apps, and other websites linked from this site operate under their own privacy practices. Our analytics records only the category of an external link you open, not its address.
